In this session, we will present the basics of how to hire & credential an LAc, so your healthcare system/program is primed to

1. maximize reimbursement/coding/metrics capture potential and

2. retain LAc professionals in your program and system

We may also cover

• The minimum requirements for hiring an LAc into a healthcare system

• Recruiting and retention

  • Discussion of how you can support your LAc clinicians’ ability to work to the “top of their scope/practice.”

  • Introduction to current information on recruiting and retaining LAc talent in your system.

What: Dr. Timothy Suh, DAOM, on Basics of How to Be a Hospital Contractor. This session is focused on the acupuncturist profession and acupuncturist-managed contractor group

20-30 minute presentation followed by time for questions.

Dr. Timothy Suh, DAOM, will present on his path to hospital practice—emphasis on creating a healthcare professional contractor group (of LAcs) and contracting services with hospitals as Alternative Health Group, LLC.

He is the founder and clinic director of Alternative Health Group LLC and the lead acupuncturist at Amita - St. Joseph Hospital, Amita Health, Chicago, Illinois.
